Although legal equality between men and women at work has existed for many decades, the persistent gender achievement gap remains a stark reality. Nevertheless, Management Today adopts a positive stance, confident in our ability to drive change. Persisting disparities such as women being consistently underpaid, under-promoted, and under-represented at senior levels, are morally unacceptable and economically unsound.

WHY ARE THESE AWARDS SO IMPORTANT?
Hear from the 2024 winners themselves:
Being recognised on the 35 Women Under 35 list is an incredible honour. It’s not just about the achievement itself; it’s about the doors it opens, the networks it expands, and the inspiration it provides. As a young businesswoman, I’m proud to be part of this remarkable community, and I’m excited to continue making an impact and finding ways to collaborate with the alumni. Anyone thinking about applying or nominating someone for the 2025 cohort should definitely go for it!
"The variety of women that have been recognised in last year's award. I think it's very important to see people that are successful in order for other women in business to feel that they can progress in their careers and they can aspire to be successful.
And also for the younger generation to have role models and to see people that have been successful in various careers and see the options that they can take on their own."
It's great to be recognised for the work that I've been doing, both within marketing at Talon and within pushing our DE&I agenda forward. On a personal level, having overcome some issues with my mental health in my mid-twenties and coming back into the industry, it means a lot to be recognised at this time and is proof to me that a career is not made in a couple of years, but is made over decades.
I think, first of all it's great to be recognised alongside so many other brilliant women, right? Like it's great validation of, I'm sure everyone that's here has made a lot of sacrifices throughout their lives to get to where they are today, so that's great validation of all of that. I think it's brilliant to highlight women specifically, particularly at the top of their game.
