Leia Clancy

At Signapse, a UK-based generative AI company building photorealistic sign language translation technology, Leia operates at the intersection of product, revenue and operations, ensuring innovation translates into scalable deployment and customer value. She joined Signapse in 2022 as Grants Manager and now serves as Head of Commercial, reflecting their rapid scaling journey and the breadth of her role in shaping it.

Since joining, She's secured £1.3 million in non-dilutive funding. That has supported the development of their core R&D, as well as key products deployments including at Miami International Airport, strengthening their early credibility in regulated, high-visibility markets. Her project track record in the US positioned her to lead their AI American Sign Language product from research concept to market-ready product in under nine months, accelerating US expansion and significantly broadening our addressable market. After building their Customer Operations function from scratch, establishing Signapse as a trusted delivery partner for video translation, she is now developing our Customer Success strategy to support their SaaS model and growing international footprint. 

Modelling our Deaf-first ethos, she holds a Level 1 Certificate in British Sign Language. Outside of her day job, she is a Trustee of the national charity, Protection Against Stalking.
