Samantha Jones

Samantha joined Kirkland & Ellis in 2020. In four short years, at the age of 32, she was promoted to partner – making her one of the youngest partners in her field. Her practice focuses on EU and UK competition law, including merger control, antitrust compliance, and advising on abuse of dominance investigations, along with UK and global foreign investment law (including complex defence and healthcare cases involving remedy negotiations with local governments). She also has a breadth of experience in African competition law, following her experiences as a competition lawyer in South Africa. Samantha has experience various sectors, including software, industrial, medical, chemicals and defence.

Samantha is recognised as a talented and strategic advisor and a go-to lawyer for the world’s largest and most sophisticated private equity and industrial clients, including Bain Capital, BC Partners, Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, Advent and Astorg. In addition to representing some of the world’s largest private equity firms, Samantha has also represented corporate clients, including food technology, solar panel and container liner companies on complex multinational transactions.
