Sheyi Ogunshakin
Senior Research & Strategy Consultant at Word on the Curb
Sheyi is a transformative research leader redefining how insight drives action, equity and growth. With a decade of experience spanning global brands and UK public institutions, she works at the intersection of culture, commerce and community, turning complex lived experience into strategies that shape markets, influence policy and build trust.
Her work has informed global trend forecasting for Pinterest, directly shaping Pinterest Predicts 2026 and strengthening its authority as a predictive platform for advertisers worldwide. During COVID-19, she designed and led real-time national research that helped policymakers respond to public sentiment, and later co-led UK-wide research for the UK Covid-19 Inquiry, amplifying the voices of 9–22 year olds by shaping a youth-friendly version of the official report. She also led community research that informed the design of the Brixton Blood Donation Centre for NHS Blood and Transplant, which has saved or improved more than 50,000 lives in its first year.
Committed to widening opportunity, she founded a work immersion programme supporting disadvantaged young migrants into careers in research and policy.
